Originally built for the Theatre Royal Bath’s 2017 production of The Lady in the Van, these three vehicles were custom built for stage use at Splinter. There are three vehicles in total:
1x Blue Commer van, stripped of all unnecessary components drastically reducing the weight allowing the van to be pushed on and off stage. The rear doors are also fitted with pneumatic jacks.
1x Yellow Commer van, no motor, equipped with reinforced chassis and rated lifting points to allow the van to be lifted by theatre flying system.
1x Red Reliant three-wheeler, fitted with an electric motor to drive on/off stage;
Each vehicle has been stripped of all unnecessary components to make them as light as possible, perfect for touring purposes.
