Romeo & Juliet was the final show in the 2016 Rep Season for the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool.
The flat floor from Fiddler on the Roof, the first show of the season, has gone. Well not entirely. The floor now cascades down and sinks into the stage creating a very dynamic space. All the edges are finished with a laser cut and folded mesh to create both a face and also a surface to light through. Finishing the space are 4 large balcony-esque towers built from scaffolding style material spanning from the showfloor up to the circle in the auditorium.

“The family warfare plays out with terrifying realism on Molly Elizabeth Lacey Davies’ brutalist, industrial set, with Tybalt’s death being particularly chilling”
